Our Year 5 pupils recently had a week long residential at Derwent Hill Outdoor Center. While there, the children got the chance to complete the John Muir Award. This is a nationally recognised, environmental award, which requires participants to ‘Discover, Explore, Conserve and Share’. The children engaged in a variety of tasks, including working with the Environment Agency, to plant over 100 trees, which will inhibit the erosion of a river bank. Well done to everyone who took part.
