School Ethos and Values

Mill Hill Primary School's aim is to provide each child with the opportunity to achieve their potential. We endeavour to do this, by promoting the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of our children. Working alongside parents and the community, we aim to prepare children for a happy and successful future.
Our school fosters a welcoming, caring, stimulating and secure environment, which encourages development in all aspects of children’s growth as learners. The nurturing of all within the school, based on the values of tolerance, care, concern and forgiveness, enables the broadening of horizons and the development of children’s all round potential.
Mill Hill provides a rich, diverse and stimulating curriculum, which places a firm focus on the core subjects. It enables pupils to develop excellent basic skills in reading, writing and mathematics. Learning continues beyond the school day with high levels of participation in after school clubs led by school staff such as football, cookery, dance and art and crafts. The school is an exceptionally cohesive community and pupils and staff share a mutual respect that is reflected in the way they interact with each other.
